After honorably serving in the United States Air Force for four years during the Vietnam War, Rufus J. Davis Jr. returned to the States and worked in a number of professions, from insurance salesman to self-employed garage owner. It was during those working years that Mr. Davis also developed an on-and-off addiction to crack cocaine that lasted for over 25 years. Drug free now for over 5 years, Mr. Davis currently resides in Delaware, works as a railroad foreman, and is the proud father of four children.
