Anton Lawson is internationally recognized in the field of science education. He is currently Professor of Biology Education at Arizona State University, where his research centers on the nature and development of scientific thinking patterns such as hypothetico-deductive, probabilistic, proportional, combinatorial, analogical, and correlational reasoning. He has written numerous journal articles on the teaching and learning of science and recently completed an inquiry-based undergraduate biology textbook.
