Robert P. Burton is the senior professor of Computer Science at Brigham Young University. After receiving a Ph.D. from The University of Utah, he worked at Bell Laboratories as an experimental systems engineer. He has published more than 70 technical papers. He is a recipient of the Karl G. Maeser Distinguished Teaching Award and the Karl G. Maeser Research and Creative Arts Award (BYU's most prestigious teaching and research awards).
