Review:
"Palmer is perfect for both a survey course with its foundational Introduction and the breadth/depth of scholarly analysis in each case study serving as an excellent comparative analysis text."

"The book's strength is in style appropriate for introductory students, large number of countries to choose from, and sufficient depth for each one. I also like the fact that it tries to situation each country in the global environment."
