Synopsis
A self-contained training program for students seeking careers in banking institutions, this series of three case studies prepares them for real-world lending decisions. These cases simulate the lending process by requiring students to analyze actual financial statements, press releases of the company, prominent business journal commentary, and industry data. Based on this analysis, they then must determine whether to extend a letter of credit to the company and write up the recommendations based upon their research. This multimedia interactive CD-ROM prepares students for the demands and risks they encounter in their banking careers.

About the Author
Jamie Pratt is professor of accounting and Price Waterhouse Fellow at the University of Indiana. A frequent lecturer and experienced instructor, he has held positions at the University of Washington, University of Zurich, Switzerland. Research includes accounting education, public accounting firms, international and intercultural issues, and management performance evaluation. A well-published author, Dr. Pratt has contributed to numerous professional journals in the accounting profession.
