Bart Hartman is the Edward J. Sutula Endowed Chair of Accounting at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia. Professor Hartman earned his DBA from the University of Kentucky, and formerly taught at Louisiana State University. He has published numerous articles in The Accounting Review, Behavioral Research in Accounting, The Journal of Bank Research, Management Accounting, The Financial Executive, The Journal of Accounting Education, and other journals. Professor Hartman has received a Lybrand gold medal for an article in Management Accounting, was selected for the Outstanding Educator Award in 1992 by the Society of Louisiana CPAs, and was named an Outstanding Faculty Vice-President by Beta Alpha Psi in 1978-79.
Robert Harper is a Professor of Accountancy and Chair of the Department at California State University-Fresno. He received his doctorate at Florida State University and served on the faculty at Louisiana State University prior to his current position. He is active in scholarly research, having published numerous articles in a variety of journals including Accounting Horizons, Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, Behavioral Research in Accounting, The Journal of Accounting Education, Journal of Accounting Research, and Journal of Information Systems. Professor Harper is a past member of the editorial review board of Journal of Information Systems and is a past KPMG Peat Marwick Research Fellow.
James Knoblett, PhD, CMA, CPA, is the Ernst & Young Professor of Accountancy at the University of Kentucky where he has served as Chairman of the Department of Accounting and Acting Dean and Associate Dean of the College of Business and Economics. He received a bachelor's and master's degree from Indiana State University and a doctorate from the University of Washington. He previously taught at Indiana State University and the University of Tennessee. Professor Knoblett has served as a consultant to many businesses and has developed and taught professional development programs for numerous organizations. His articles have appeared in such journals as Decision Sciences, Management Accounting, Management Advisor, Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy. He has received five outstanding teaching awards at three different institutions.
Philip Reckers is Director of the School of Accountancy at Arizona State University. He received his PhD from the University of Illinois and has served on the faculty of the University of Maryland. He is an active researcher, having published over 100 articles in major professional and academic journals including Accounting, Organizations, and Society, The Accounting Review, Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, Behavioral Research in Accounting, Contemporary Accounting Research, Decision Sciences, Journal of Accounting Research, and The National Tax Journal. Dr. Reckers is editor of Advances in Accounting and serves on the editorial boards of Auditing: A Journal of Theory and Practice and Behavioral Research in Accounting.
