About the Author

Professor Richard L. Daft Richard Daft received his M.B.A and P.H.D from the University of Chicago in 1971 1974. He is the Ralph Owen Professor of Management and Director of the Center for Leadership and Organizational Transitions in the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. Prof. Daft specializes in the study of organization theory and leadership. He is also an active consultant for several companies and government organizations. His specialties in both teaching and consulting include leadership organizational change organizational behavior organizational theory and strategic management. Professor Daft has also authored and co-authored six books in addition to several scholarly articles and papers and is widely known for writing the U.S. market-leading text in the organizational theory.
