Benedict Arnold’s self-aggrandizement caused him to switch his loyalty to England during the Revolutionary War. Belle Boyd used her feminine wiles to spy for the Confederacy while living in close proximity to Union soldiers. Despite having lost a leg, Virginia Hall worked behind Nazi lines in WWII and was vital to Allied efforts. Allen Dulles, director of the FBI during the Cold War, played a pivotal role in overthrowing the Iranian and Guatemalan governments, but he was unsuccessful in overthrowing Castro. Finally, Kim Philby, a high-ranking British official, acted as a Communist agent.
