About the Author
Robert Bateman's artwork has received international critical acclaim and has attracted an enormous following. His art can be found in many museum exhibitions like the Smithsonian Institution. Robert Bateman's talent has been recognized with the Order of Canada. Bateman has also been the subject of three books and six films, and now writes nature books for children as well. Backyard Birds and Birds of Prey is written and illustrated by Robert, showcasing his stunning artistic talent. Backyard Birds quickly became a best-seller. His talent has allowed him to transfer his artwork to children's books, while helping to raise money for environmental causes.
