Synopsis
Deck the iceberg wrap a gifty Fa la la la la la la la la... Tacky, Goodly, Lovely, Angel, Neatly, and Perfect are celebrating the holiday with good cheer, singing, and lots of presents. Tacky’s present is a little bit different, and not exactly what his friends had in mind, but when the Christmas merrymaking is interrupted by hunters in search of pretty penguins, it's Tacky's gift that helps to save the day.... About the Author
Helen Lester and Lynn Munsinger have collaborated on many funny and popular books for children, including the stories starring Tacky the Penguin and Wodney Wat, as well as the new Laugh-Along series. Helen Lester is a full-time writer who makes her home in New York. Lynn Munsinger has lived in Vermont and Connecticut, devoting her time to freelance illustration.

K-Gr 3–When Christmas comes to the Nice Icy Land, so do hunters. But thanks to Tacky and his penguin crew, holiday antics ensue. Because there are no trees to be had, Tacky's friends decide to decorate him as a Christmas tree (over his Santa outfit). The hunters mistake him for “Sandy Clawz,” whom they revere, and think that his friends are elves. There's nothing to do but enjoy a convivial evening of fish pudding, songs, and games.
