Ah, but Michael isn't really her boyfriend?he's a young man she publicly humiliated at a dance, and he thinks he's found the perfect opportunity for revenge. Predictably enough, Michael soon falls for Tashi and learns that her snobbish veneer covers the hurt of her mother's death and her father's subsequent emotional withdrawal. Although more than a little farfetched, this is an entertaining story that will keep readers turning the pages to see how everything works out.
