About the Author

Arch C Luther earned his BS degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His distinguished career spans more than 50 years and includes among other things, broadcast equipment design at RCA; consulting in multimedia computing for Intel, IBM and others; and patent expert witness consulting. Mr. Luther holds 34 U.S. patents and is the author of 12 books. He has won both the SMPTE David Sarnoff Gold Medal and RCA David Sarnoff Gold Medal for Outstanding Technical Achievement and is a Life Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers.
