"Here is a great little book that can help give children the confidence to tell out loud how they feel. It's fun too, and beautifully illustrated." - Michael Morpurgo
A beautifully illustrated, funny and thought-provoking book for building confidence and encouraging children to express their feelings – about anything and everything. This book will help enable a much broader conversation about individuality, fear, and hopes.
Gentle, soft illustrations are perfect for young children. From topics such as food likes and dislikes, to emotions, this a perfect book for sharing with family or with a classroom. You're never too young to know what you like!
All of the likes and dislikes have been supplied by real children (and their parents). All author royalties are being donated to charity.

Fiona Lumbers has drawn on anything and everything from an early age and always insisted she would be an artist when she grew up. Fiona moved to London to study for an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art, and a combination of her obsession with picture books and the arrival of her first son led her down the path of illustration. She hasn't looked back since. This is her first book.
I like bees . . . but I don't like honey! I like my imaginary friend . . . but I don't like it when people say he's not real.

Paperback. Condition: new. Lumbers, Fiona (illustrator). Paperback. I like bees. but I don't like honey! I like my imaginary friend. but I don't like it when people say he's not real. You're never too young to know what you like! There's nothing like a small child to give you an honest answer, and so we asked a group what their likes and dislikes were. Their answers were enlightening, funny, and also profound - so we've gathered them together in a beautifully illustrated package to encourage other young children to express their feelings too. This charming, delightful and thoroughly entertaining book is perfect for anyone trying to gently broach a conversation about individuality, fears and hopes with their child. A completely unique picture book, written by children, that celebrates the joy of being different and having an opinion!
