Dr. D. Barnes is a graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and the University of the District of Columbia. She taught Human Anatomy and Physiology at the college level. She was a home bound teacher for the Westchester County School System in New York for four years. She also tutored many students over the years in a vast array of subjects. She, too was an inferior test taker who graduated at the bottom of her high school class. She mastered the art of test taking and received the Author Webb award for academic excellence in her senior year of college and a PICA scholarship for academic excellence in her senior year of Podiatric Medical School.She was inducted into the National Scientific Honor Society (Beta Kappa Chi) while attending the University of the District of Columbia, and the Pi Delta National Podiatric Honor society while attending the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
