Synopsis

This book is part of four talks given by Brad Curl at the Downtown Fellowship Center at 18th and K NW, Washington D.C. in 1982. We all need good quality intimate relationships in our lives. They very much affect the way we feel about ourselves. Our basic instinct is to be "one". From the time we are born we want attention - to be held, to be treated well, cared for, bathed, cleaned, fed, comforted and hugged. Our basic nature screams when we are young to be held and to be close. And we are pretty much that way all our lives, although we are more sophisticated about it. We say "Oh, I don't have any needs; I'm really completely content and composed without anybody else". But the fact is we desperately need them.
