Synopsis

“Holy Moly Roly Poly! You need to slow down. You are not the only bug in this town.”

Roly-Poly is always on the go. He is busy, in a hurry, and so focused on what he is doing that he rarely stops to notice the bugs around him—or how his actions might affect them.

As Roly-Poly goes about his day, his actions cause trouble for those around him. But when something unexpected happens, Roly-Poly is finally given a chance to stop and think.

As he begins to see things from another point of view, Roly-Poly discovers what it means to have awareness and to feel empathy. He starts to understand that the choices he makes can affect others—and that he has the power to make a difference.

Holy Moly Roly Poly! introduces children to two BIG words—AWARENESS and EMPATHY—and shows them what these words can look and feel like in real life.

Part of the BIG Words With BIG Meaning series, Holy Moly Roly Poly! is a beautifully illustrated story that helps children understand how their actions affect others, consider another person's feelings, and discover that they have choices.

Includes BIG Words definitions and discussion questions to help children take the meaning of the story beyond the pages and into their own lives.
