As a former elementary school teacher, I fully understand the importance of building up a child's self-esteem. Through my experience, I have learned that a child's confidence in themselves and their ability as an individual has a huge impact on how they positively or negatively respond to life's inevitable circumstances.
Also, as a Christian I have learned how essential the principle of perseverance is. As a parent to two beautiful children, I have the amazing opportunity to teach my own children how necessary understanding their self-worth and personal value is.
God sees them as a masterpiece. With all the distractions, put-downs, and bullying that goes on in this world, I want them to see themselves through God's lens. And when God sees us, He sees His beautiful creation.
Knowing this information will help children and even adults be inspired to persevere, be resilient, have grit, and build courage!
My hope is that every reader of my books will have in their heart, "STILL I FLY", "STILL I SHINE", and "STILL I TRY" no matter what!
