A compilation of historical feature stories published in the online newspaper St. George News appearing in print with its permission, Red Rock Recollections, Volume 1: Fascinating Stories of Utah’s Dixie presents brief histories about Washington County, Utah’s most fascinating places, from the Hurricane Canal to the Brigham Young Winter Home to the Zion Tunnel. The stories take the reader on a rewarding journey that will help them visualize the interesting history of these locations before or after visiting. Visitors might not even find some of the information contained in the book while visiting the sites as the stories are told from a different angle that most readers didn’t know about previously. The book would be a great companion for anyone exploring the southwestern corner of the Beehive State.
