Grade 3-6-- Ever since she listened to her older brother in a debate on the national economy, six-year-old Angela has been concerned about the country running out of money. On April 15, as her parents are figuring out their last minute income tax returns, she decides to file her own, along with $4.53. But she uses the very form her parents need--and it's too late to obtain a clean one. Among other incidents are Angela's disruption of her sister Tina's attempts to go to Camp Sunset. This book, like Oh, Honestly Angela! (Scholastic, 1985) is full of Angela's antics and the sorts of Cleary's Beezus-and-Ramona sibling situations that appeal to young readers, and they will look back on their own primary days with a comfortably superior feeling. --Elaine E.
