Mary Stolz is a distinguished author whose works range from picture books to young-adult novels. Her most popular books include the adventures of Grandfather and Thomas: Storm in the Night, Go Fish, Stealing Home, and Coco Grimes. Ms. Stolz's books have been published in nearly thirty languages. Among her many awards are two Newbery Honors, for Belling the Tiger and The Noonday Friends. She is also the recipient of the George C. Stone Center for Children's Books 1982 Recognition of Merit Award and the 1993 Kerlan Award honoring the entire body of her work. Ms. Stolz lives on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
