PreS-Gr 3—Grandmothers show their love in many ways in this book of poetry where grandchildren and their grandmothers are shown having fun family time. Each poem includes brightly colored artwork depicting grandmas and grandchildren enjoying activities such as fishing, creating fun hairdos, and putting together puzzles. The scenes also show grandmas cheering on their grandchildren at performances and sharing old family memories from when they were young. The grandmas depicted include a range of ethnicities and cultures. This book would make a fun read-aloud with family, as each spread has a poem in some sort of variation of AB rhyming. The book ends with different ways to say grandma and the message, "No matter how you say it, and no matter what their name/ all grandmas round the world love their grandkids just the same!" VERDICT A worthy purchase for poetry and family-focused collections because of the fun way family love and diversity are depicted with grandmas at the heart.—Molly Dettmann
