About the Author

Stephane Groueff is a Bulgarian-born journalist and author. After the Communists seized power in 1944, he lived in exile in Switzerland, France and the United States. He was a reporter for Paris Match with the magazine's original team and became its New York Bureau Chief for 20 years, until 1978. As a United States citizen, he now lives in New York with his American wife.
