Synopsis
'A young woman vows to burn to death...voluntarily, ' blared the radio. 'Speaking from her husband's deathbed, she insists upon sitting atop a blazing pyre and with her deceased husband, wants to burn alive to join him in heaven.' Suspecting homicide and seeing a stunning parallel between this imminent death and the recent death of his own wife, the burnt-out American doctor, who is headed out to a Himalayan spiritual hermitage, instead rushes out to rescue the villager. About the Author
Sattar Memon is Associate Professor of Medicine, Emeritus at Brown University. He specializes in Cancer Medicine and enjoys writing about Religion, Faith and Spirituality. TALES OF FAITH is his second book. His first book -- THE ASHRAM , a spirituality- based novel-- won one a top prize in the Thirteenth Annual International Novel Contest sponsored by The Writer’s Digest in 2005. His third book CANCER : CONQUERING DEATH : INSPIRING TALES OF CANCER SURVIVORS is being readied for publication.
