Synopsis
The Known Stranger, is a fast-paced, captivating mystery novel that will pique the interest of the reader from beginning to end. The life of Katie Payne, an attractive, educated, religious woman married to Emory Payne, a reputable entertainment attorney, is suddenly and abruptly changed forever. This devoted wife and mother of two children receives a call from Detectives Jackson and Viccers informing her that her husband of 15 years has been murdered. As the mystery unfolds, Emory Paynes otherwise honorable reputation is tarnished by the discovery of past relationships he has had with friends of his wife. Katie learns her closest friends shared painful, life-changing and life-threatening secrets with her husband. After these extraordinary secrets are revealed, a multitude of events occur which lead to the murder of Emory Payne. Three days later, Mrs. Payne finds herself in police custody, suspected for the murder of her husband discovering that she really does not know the man she has lived with for 15 years. To her, her husband has been a stranger she has known.
