About the Author

Born to a handsome Hungarian and an exotic teenage girl in a brick home amidst an English shire, R.M. Gal was saved by her grandmother from abduction by gypsies. Five years later, her family embarked a steamship to Canada where her father mined gold for two years. Then, the family drove a canvas-covered truck to Vermont before heading to Massachusetts.

R.M. earned a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art. She took extracurricular studies at Bentley College and RIT. After several years of working in Type Design, she spent eighteen months, three of them on Crete, with John Saalfield and then married him in England. Two years later, they had a son, JP. Now, R.M. resides in the Golden State with John, artist and designer of her book covers, and JP, an up-and-coming teenage filmmaker.

Thrills from writing pull R.M. from her bed before dawn and keep her from it until all hours of the night. One aspect of her philosophy is that each life is equally valid. And she is for all human beings: both sexes and all races—of any philosophy, religion, country, organisation, profession, or personal tenet. Having blended her physical focus with her spiritual nature, she writes about common and rare human experiences with fresh perspective, keen honesty, and reinless entertainment.
