Evelyn Ackley Christensen grew up on a farm near Bryant, South Dakota, during the Depression of the 1930s. Her first poems were written while she was in high school.Through years of teaching, getting married, raising three boys (in Cincinnati, OH), and becoming an expert weaver, her observations broadened and insights sharpened.
