"There's now such a glut of fat volumes devoted to programming .NET that it's increasingly difficult to tell the wheat from the chaff. For a book of around 1,200 pages, "Programming .NET Windows Application" is remarkably low on chaff. Indeed, if you want to go beyond the basics of standalone application development with .NET, this is one of the best books on the market. I personally find it more useful...
