From School Library Journal:
PreSchool-Grade 2-The third misadventure of this flock finds the six sheep cavorting outside on Christmas morning, trying out their presents. Five "snowy sheep, snug in woolly warm fleece," in turn, sled, skate, ski, snowshoe, and saucer down a hill and all end up going "...Shmoosh! into a snowbank." Luckily, the last sheep received a handy gift and comes to the rescue. This countdown story with repeating phrases and sound effects is action-packed and appealing. The whimsical watercolor cartoons with pen-and-ink crosshatching (often within irregular borders) are charming and the wordless last page is thoroughly satisfying. Six Snowy Sheep is harder to read than Nancy Shaw's "Sheep" books (Houghton), but it's just as much fun.

From Publishers Weekly:
As six sheep disappear one by one through a variety of mishaps, pen-and-ink and watercolor pictures give this count-down tale an antic, wayward charm. Ages 3-8.
