Synopsis
Poco después de establecer su dictadura en 1959, y el caos social que resultó de la misma, corrieron rumores que Fidel Castro decretaría que la potestad de todos los niños cubanos sería asumida por el estado. El terror ocasionado por esta posibilidad impulsó a miles de padres desesperados a enviar a sus hijos menores solos a los Estados Unidos donde estos "pedro panes" cubanos sí tuvieron que crecer y madurar, en un país extraño, sin la compañía de sus seres más queridos.
