About the Author:

Eric Presten was born and raised in Fremont, CA. His earliest exposure to sport aiviation came in 1972. Obtaining his private license for single-engine airplanes while still a teenager, Eric went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Technology from Central Missouri State University. Since then he has acquired his Single- and Multi-Engine Instrument Commercial Land Ratings, a Single-Engine Commercial and Part 135 seaplane qualification, and is also a licensed Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic with an Inspection Authorization. Other books by the author include: The Aviators Timeless Choice (1986), The Classic Taildragger Buyer's Guide (1994), and Vintage Flyers (1996).
