About the Author

Rosalie Hurd, B.S., nutritionist and home economist is a life-long vegetarian and mother of 5 grown children. She is involved with nutrition counseling, cooking schools, health seminars and promoting the principles of abundant health through the simple art of natural whole food preparation.

A winner in a Mrs. America contest, Rosalie was chosen from a group of 50 participants, being the only contestant who prepared a completely vegetarian dinner. See the winning meal in Ten Talents pg. 586. She is a former Home Economics teacher and food service director. In addition to caring for the needs of her busy household, she serves as secretary and office assistant to her husband.

Frank Hurd, D.C., M.D., has spent more than 45 years in the study and practice of alternative health and wellness. He is currently engaged in an active practice, lectures on principles that support vibrant health through a vegetarian lifestyle, and prefers preventive methods and natural remedies.
