Synopsis

Heroin and alcohol were her best friends. For Jasmin Rogg, life was about having some fun with the help of drugs. What began as lighthearted pleasure-seeking gradually and unnoticeably turned into the hellish nightmare that is alcoholism and addiction. A compulsion to get what she needed to make it through the night. Only when she realized that she had suffered enough, did she finally decide to get sober. But this isn't just another story of addiction and getting sober. Rather, this book is about the process of recovery and offers "daily mental hygiene" tools to make it through highly emotional states, so typical for early sobriety. A practical adjunct to the twelve-step approach, this book spells out how to regulate emotional over-reactivity, and uses strong imagery to promote understanding. Inside To Hell & Back, Jasmin Rogg sheds light on the most sensitive of related topics...relationships. Using her background as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, Rogg helps her readers awaken to recovery filled with gratitude, serenity, and a meaningful connection to life.
