Unlike the many published Lean Six Sigma memory-jogger-tools-application books, this reference not only explains tool applications but also links the methodologies within a detailed Lean Six Sigma Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (DMAIC) project execution roadmap. Described also is a business-system-methodology for project selection so that the enterprise as a whole benefits from process improvement efforts. Tabs are used to partition the book into each of the DMAIC phase steps. All book sections contain, in addition to tool descriptions, very detailed project-execution-roadmap steps, a phase-completion check sheet, references to other books for more detailed information and statistical software commands for tool execution.

About the Author

Forrest W. Breyfogle, III is the founder and CEO of Smarter Solutions, Inc. In 2004, Mr. Breyfogle received the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Croby Medal for his book, Implementing Six Sigma, 2nd ed. He is an ASQ Fellow and a member of the board of advisors for the University of Texas Center for Performing Excellence.
