About the Author
Born on February 12, 1953, James A. Gresham grew up in the suburbs of Detroit. As a young boy, he became an avid collector. First, it was baseball cards. Next it was Aurora Model Monsters. During those days of youth, he always enjoyed watching science fiction and horror movies. Little did he realize that those Friday evenings and Saturday mornings watching these movies would later give rise to a love of these movies and posters that would not end, but would lead to a life-long hobby. Jim graduated from Oakland University with a degree in public administration. The next decade was filled with career and family. Around the early 1980s he began collecting science fiction posters to enhance a basement with a 1950s theme. This collecting grew into a passion which has not subsided. In 2007, Jim wrote his first book, Children of the Night A Comprehensive Guide to Horror Posters. This book is about horror movie posters of the 1930s and 1940s. He received very positive responses to this book, with many people asking when he would write a book on science fiction posters. In 2010 Jim finished this next logical book. Jim describes his life as one filled with passions for God, family, his business, and, of course, movie posters. He gives God the credit for everything positive in his life.
