About the Author

Tara Rachel Jones received her B.A in Early Childhood Education in 1991 from Simmons College, Boston. She received her M.Ed. in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education in 2009 from Antioch New England Graduate University in Keene, NH. She was certified in Montessori Education in 1992 and taught for 7 years as a Montessori teacher. In 1997, Tara Rachel, RYT 500*,E-RYT 500*, RCYT*, RCYS* started her first formal children s yoga program at a Waldorf inspired nursery school in Bedford, MA where she also was a lead teacher for one of the nursery classes for several years. Since then, Tara Rachel has led yoga programs for children from nursery through high school and teacher education workshops in pre-schools, public, private schools and youth organizations all over the Boston area. She has maintained a stronghold in the field of education by bringing yoga workshops to teachers and parents in schools. In 2011, she started a Yoga Teacher Training course for those aspiring to teach yoga to children, youth, teens and families that is now a Registered Children's Yoga School 95hr, through The National Yoga Alliance. She is also a certified Zen Shiatsu Therapist.
