Charles Newton contributed numerous innovative ideas and designs to the firearms industry between the years of 1905 and 1932. His ballistic experimentations using the premise of a large shell case for caliber to attain high velocity, led to the development of many new cartridges from. Newton marketed high power rifles from 1914 to the late 1920s. He imported rifles from Germany in 1914 and 1922 and manufactured two models of Newton rifles using his own design ideas.
