Synopsis
It is 1960, and Pete Sutton is thrilled to be a cadet at the new U.S. Air Force Academy. The Academy rewards discipline, loyalty and honor, values he first learned from his beloved father. Pete learns to be a principled leader both on the football team and among the cadets, his band of brothers. His idealism is challenged by the looming Vietnam War, the assassination of President Kennedy, and a threat to the Honor Code and the Academy itself. For Pete and his unbending personal code of honor there is only one path forward – to confront the system head on.

About the Author
Lin Bothwell was a cadet at the United States Air Force Academy from 1960 to 1964, during both the Cuban Missile Crisis and the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. After his life-altering experience when he became the first senior cadet ever to be academically expelled from the fledgling Academy, he went on to earn his doctorate from Harvard University. Lin’s achievements include roles as a corporate CEO, tenured business professor, business school dean, and as a published author of books on leadership, training, and business communication. As a management consultant he had forty of the Fortune 500 corporations as clients and personally trained over 10,000 corporate executives. He has won awards for his teaching, writing, and public speaking, and has appeared on U.S. television and radio. Dr. Bothwell has been a member of the MBA faculties of Tsinghua University and the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University. He was the cultural media advisor for the Academy Awards, Golden Globes, and Emmy Awards for CCTV-4 in Beijing.
