About the Author

Suzanne Mouton-Odum, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist who has been in private practice since 1995. She specializes in helping people who suffer with both Anxiety Disorders and compulsive behaviors such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Trichotillomania (hair pulling), and Pathological Skin Picking. Dr. Mouton-Odum has also published the book, A Parent Guide to Hair Pulling Disorder, two book chapters, and eight scientific journal articles. She has given over fifty presentations at state and national conferences. Dr. Mouton-Odum is on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Trichotillomania Learning Center, is the Past President of the Texas Psychological Foundation and the Houston Psychological Association, and has received numerous awards for her contribution to the field of psychology.
