M R Cates is a physicist by training. His writing started spontaneously, apparently when his Muse gave the signal. He loves to include technology in his stories, but not at the expense of the story itself. He believes that novels are primarily the possession of the reader, and that the writer can hope at best to be guide for the reader's imagination.
