About the Author

For the last fifteen years, Dr. Hopper has been the Study Skills coordinator for the Developmental Studies Department at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN. She is also a nationally known lecturer and workshop leader on topics such as learning styles, memory techniques, time management, effective classroom techniques, using technology in the classroom, and attention deficit disorder. She is a consultant for the National Education Foundation and has won numerous awards including the Carnegie Foundation's Tennessee Professor of the Year Award, Tennessee Association for Developmental Education Outstanding Teacher Award, and MTSU's Outstanding Teaching Award.
