Michael Ekedahl has worked in the technology field for nearly 20 years. He taught Visual Basic, Internet development, and other programming topics at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for 15 years. Michael was also the lead technical analyst for the National Supercomputing Center for Energy and the Environment at UNLV. He also developed geophysical software sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy. Presently, Michael teaches Visual Basic and advanced programming topics at the University of Nevada, Reno, and writes books for Thomson Course Technology.
In addition to writing C# Comprehensive, Joyce Farrell is also the author of Microsoft Visual C#, 2008, Object-Oriented Programming Using C++, Java Programming, Programming Logic and Design, An Object-Oriented Approach to Programming Logic and Design, and Just Enough Programming Logic and Design, all of which are published by Course Technology. Joyce was formerly Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems at Harper College in Palatine, IL. Prior to joining Harper College, Joyce taught Computer Information Systems at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and McHenry County College in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
Don Gosselin is a technical communications expert with more than 20 years experience. His extensive technology experience includes application development, technical writing, training, and curriculum development. In addition to JavaScript, he has written or contributed to textbooks on Java programming, Microsoft Visual C++ 6 and .NET, Web design technologies, Web programming languages, XHTML, and PHP programming with MySQL.
Diane Zak holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems, a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, and a Master of Arts degree in Adult and Continuing Education. She has taught at various computer training centers and was most recently a Professor at College of DuPage in Illinois. She has written numerous books for Course Technology, including an Introduction to Programming with C++; Programming with Microsoft Visual Basic; Microsoft Visual Basic: RELOADED; Microsoft Visual Basic: RELOADED, Advanced; CGI/Perl; and Visual Basic for Applications.
