About the Author
Jack Haligo is a teenage Australian author who began writing the "Gemotroplis" pentalogy at the age of 12. Haligo's surname is a notable Cornish name linked to the House of Pendragon, descendants of Camelot's royal family, and the legend of King Arthur. This has been a great inspiration for this fantasy writing. He won the Golden Literary Titan Book Award for his first book, Gemotroplis - The Stolen Heart. Jack aims to reshape perceptions of autism through his writings, advocating for recognising the unique talents and perspectives that autistic individuals bring to society. He hopes to publish his pentalogy and dreams of seeing his books in retail stores.He wrote Gemotroplis - The Stolen Heart to reflect his vision of a fantasy world: a magical place where he can escape the harsh realities of school, bullying, and his struggles with what he describes as a "normal" life. Autism has allowed him to see the world differently, and this perspective, along with his life lessons, has influenced his storytelling.Jack fell in love with writing at a young age and has since made it a significant part of his life. However, with the rise of technology, he feels that young people risk losing appreciation for the efforts of new authors. He finds that lifeless words strung together by programs lack the passion, love, and magic that a genuine narrative can convey. To him, a terrific story comes from the heart of a real author.
