Steel, Titanium and Guiltbrings together in one volume the first three books of the Hunting Justiceseries: Frankensteel, The Geneh Warand Time Enough for Killing. If you like exciting plots, intriguing scientific mysteries and strong, engaging characters - and you like to think - you won't be able to put these books down...
We first meet detective Miriam Hunter at the prime of her career, when the world's first thinking robot violently escapes the men who come to destroy it and Miriam is tasked with catching it. In the battle between the robot, those who want it destroyed and those who want to save it, Miriam must choose which side she is really on.
We next meet Miriam ten years earlier, at the start of her career. A string of strange burglaries lead her to suspect the existence of a genetically engineered human or 'geneh', though such creatures have been banned for decades and the last was killed many years ago. Her pursuit of the thief through a tangle of contradictory clues leads her into a world of political secrets and corruption, until eventually she must face her own decisions of life, death and justice.
Time Enough for Killingis set six months after the events in Frankensteel. While investigating mysterious disappearances in another city, Miriam's car plunges into the ocean. In a far country, a deadly war robot is about to kill a young woman, when something the girl says stops it in its tracks. As the machine seeks to understand its nature, and perhaps gain redemption for its past, Miriam's friends seek to unravel the mystery of her death. As the threads of these quests intertwine and come together, it becomes a race against time and hidden enemies to discover the truth before all is lost.

Fiction that leaves you with something to think about. This was a fantastic story! The ethical issues addressed alone are enough for me to have enjoyed this book. Adding in the science fiction elements is just an added bonus. If you enjoy fiction that leaves you with something to think about when the story ends, you will enjoy this... By the time I read the last line of chapter two I knew I was going to purchase all three books in the series. If you like to think at all, I highly recommend this."
