In a far country, a deadly war robot is about to kill a young woman, when something the girl says stops it in its tracks. As the machine seeks to understand its nature, and perhaps gain redemption for its past, Miriam's friends seek to unravel the mystery of her death. As the threads of these quests intertwine and come together, it becomes a race against time and hidden enemies to discover the truth before all is lost.

Dr Robin Craig has a PhD in molecular biology and a keen interest in science and philosophy. Fiction that leaves you with something to think about. This was a fantastic story! The ethical issues addressed alone are enough for me to have enjoyed this book. Adding in the science fiction elements is just an added bonus. If you enjoy fiction that leaves you with something to think about when the story ends, you will enjoy this... By the time I read the last line of chapter two I knew I was going to purchase all three books in the series. If you like to think at all, I highly recommend this."
