Wherry (1885-1982) who is well-known for his fern field guides, the letter requests information on Epipactis, also included is Soper's business card and a one-page typed description of the book "Shrubs of Ontario," co-authored by Soper, book offered for sale is 70 pages, illustrated with photos, tables and distribution maps, "The occurrence of arctic-alpine plants at relatively low latitudes is a phenomenon of considerable interest to phytogeographers, ecologists, geologists and others concerned with patterns of glacial retreat, climactic change and the history of associated development of vegetation," includes references; Signed by Author.
