Soft Cover. Condition: VG+. Tommy Dale Palmore (illustrator). First Printing. Larger Soft Cover with french flaps. Brown rear cover, brown front cover with illustration are clean and glossy. Book has light rubbing at the head and tail of the spine and at the very tips of the corners. Spine has been sunned to a pea green color, but the lettering is unaffected, and still easy to read. Two small scratches in the rear cover ab out two inches up from th lower edge are darker. Brown endpapers. Binding is straight and tight. Pages are clean, white, and crisp. 213 pages. Bilingual edition presents the poetry on opposing pages with the original Spanish on the left hand page facing the English language translation on the right. Translated from the Spanish by David Smith. Illustrations throughout by Tommy Dale Palmore. Not perfect, but a tight, clean copy. Not terribly common. Seller Inventory # 010001

Book is in excellent condition with very light shelf wear to covers only, sunning to spine, a bit of corner wear, though they are still sharp. Binding is solid and square, exterior shows no other blemishes, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind and contains many tipped-in b&w illustrations by Palmore, complete and all in excellent condition, including one of the author's head replicated from another portrait fronted by ostrich head, perhaps a statement of his common grimace. 213 pages.
