No-nonsense Katie Lee, shy Rosaline, earthy Marinda, and free-spirited December are roommates at Radcliffe, circa 1972. All are beautiful, talented, and destined for success (though the road will be bumpy, in true soap opera fashion). All will love the handsome and just-about-perfect Schuyler Smith, though only one will win him. Who that person will be presents something of a mystery for awhile, but soon becomes obvious in this opus of ambition, greed, romance, and life in the fast lane that covers a decade. Lots of sex and twists of plot in the Jackie Collins-Judith Krantz school of writing, and though fairly engrossing, the book's about 200 pages too long.
