Shirley MacLaine described Griscom's acupuncture and past-life healing in the last chapters of Dancing in the Light ( LJ 11/1/85), so there should be wide interest in Griscom's book. It is not a how-to book but an exhortation to self-discovery through the metaphysics of enlightenment. Exploring such intriguing concepts as positionality, holograms, and latticework, Griscom offers sound insights into current problems such as drug abuse and AIDS. Unlike some of the flashy "channels" at work today, Griscom has a sober background of many years in the Peace Corps in South America.
