In this book, Frannie and Joey visit Japan, and if readers can get past the wooden text, they may learn a couple of things about modern Tokyo, the tea gardens, religious life in Japan, Mount Aso, etc. Because of the poor color reproduction, the book may remind readers of comic strip travelogues--offering sketchy highlights of a region but few memorable facts. Other books in the series are Let's Visit Britain , Let's Visit the Soviet Union and Let's Visit the United States . Ages 6-10.
