In . . .Counting, a ques tion referring to an illustration of bea vers requires some subjectivity in an swering. "How many beavers are working like crazy . . .or acting lazy?" Is holding pieces of wood con sidered "working like crazy?" In Op posites, Hippo is described as getting "stuck under" the fence; in actuality, it looks as if he barrelled straight ahead, splintering it. Early learning concept books abound. Stick with note-worthy authors such as Tana Hoban and Lois Ehlert.
