This autobiogaphy recounts George Best's life from its beginnings in Belfast, through the glory days with Manchester United and down through the walk-outs and disappearances, fights, feuds, women, marriage, fatherhood and the endless bottles of alcohol to the present day. In a career which has seen him hailed as the best soccer player of his generation and condemned him as a drunken lout, he has made and lost over three million pounds, been declared bankrupt, slept with more beautiful women than he can remember, failed to make his marriage work, been incapacitated with drink, had his skull split open, been dragged into court, arrested - and jailed.
